App-Connect  
Introduction to the topic  
The pairing is complete. The connected mobile  
wireless device can now also use Wireless App-  
Connect without the USB connection.  
With App-Connect it is possible to display and use the  
contents and functions displayed on the mobile phone  
device on the infotainment screen.  
If the pop-up menus are rejected during the  
connection process, Wireless App-Connect will not be  
available. In this case, Volkswagen recommends  
deleting the devices in both the iP hone settings and  
infotainment, and restarting the connection process.  
For this, the mobile wireless device must be connected  
via a USB interface to the infotainment.  
Some technologies can also be used by Wireless App-  
Connect via the Blue tooth interface and a Wi-Fi  
connection.  
Wireless App-Connect may not be compatible  
with all technologies.

Using apps while driving can distract from traffic. If  
the driver is distracted it can lead to an accident and

The range of applications can be very varied and  
designed for a specific vehicle or country. The content  
and volume of the applications, as well as the companies  
that offer them, may vary.  
CarPlay, the following requirements must be met: ÿ  
The iPhone must be compatible with Apple CarPlay.  
ÿ Voice control (Siri) must be active on the iPhone.  
Some applications also depend on the availability of  
third party services.  
Not all applications offered can be guaranteed to work  
on all mobile phone devices or with all mobile phone  
operating systems.  
ÿ Apple CarPlay must be activated without restrictions  
in the iPhone settings. ÿ The iPhone has to be  
connected to the infotainment system via a USB
