– Check whether battery terminal clamps are secure on battery
terminals by moving battery negative cable -1- and battery
positive cable -2- back and forth.
WARNING
If the battery terminal clamp is not seated securely on the bat‐
tery positive terminal, first disconnect battery terminal clamp
on battery negative terminal to prevent possible accidents.
If the battery terminal clamp is not seated securely on positive
terminal:
– Disconnect battery terminal clamp -1- from battery negative
terminal first.
– Pull positive terminal cover upwards, and tighten battery ter‐
minal clamp -2- on battery positive terminal to 6 Nm.
– Engage positive terminal cover again.
– Reconnect battery terminal clamp -1- to battery negative ter‐
minal, and tighten it to 6 Nm as well.
If battery terminal clamp is NOT seated securely on negative ter‐
minal:
– Tighten battery terminal clamp -1- on negative battery terminal
to 6 Nm.
– Fit the storage box in luggage compartment.
