Sunroof: checking function, cleaning
and greasing guide rails
Carry out following procedure:
– Check function of sunroof.
– Clean guide rails -arrows- and grease with special grease G
060 751 A2.

Track rods: checking clearance, attach‐
ment and boots
Procedure
– Check play by moving track rods and wheels with the vehicle
raised (wheels hanging free). Clearance (specified): no clear‐
ance:
– Check that boots -arrow- are not damaged and are seated
correctly.
– Make sure that boots -1- of steering rack are not damaged and
are seated correctly.
– Perform visual inspection for leaks and damage in area of
steering rack including track rods.

Auxiliary heater: setting weekday in
menu of dash panel insert
As the weekday in the menu for the auxiliary heater is not linked
to the time and date setting for the dash panel insert, it must be
set separately.

Setting weekday using buttons on multifunction steering wheel
Button -5- is used to confirm menu options.
Press arrow buttons -1- -2- and -4- to change the menu.
1. Select main menu:
– Switch on ignition. A vehicle symbol is displayed.
– Press OK button -5- in multifunction steering wheel.
– Press respective arrow buttons -2- and -4- repeatedly in mul‐
tifunction steering wheel until menu “Auxiliary heater” is dis‐
played.
– Press OK button -5-.
2. Select weekday:
– Press arrow buttons -1- until menu “Setting start time” is dis‐
played.
– Select “Weekday”.
Setting weekday using buttons on windscreen wiper lever
Button -1- is used to confirm menu options.
Rocker lever -2- is used to change the menu.
1. Select main menu:
– Switch on ignition. A vehicle symbol is displayed.
– Press button -1- once.
– To return to main menu, press rocker switch -2- and hold for
about one second. Or select menu option “Back” and press
button -1-.
– Press rocker -2- up or down to mark a menu item.
The marked menu option is found between the two horizontal
lines. Additionally there is a triangle on the right.
– Mark menu item “Auxiliary heater” and press button -1- in
windscreen wiper lever.
2. Select weekday:
– Press rocker -2- up or down to mark a menu item “Setting start
time”.
– Select “Weekday” and confirm with button -1-.
