Chain sprocket - tightening sequence
Caution
The intermediate shaft sprocket must be replaced. Otherwise
no tooth backlash is set - engine damage. The new intermedi‐
ate shaft sprocket is coated with a solid film lubricant that wears
off after a short period and thus automatically sets the tooth
backlash.
– Tighten bolt as follows:

Pre-tighten to 10 Nm using torque wrench.
Turn sprocket.
Chain sprocket must be without play; otherwise loosen bolt and
tighten again.

Tighten to 30 Nm using torque wrench.
Use fixed wrench to turn 90° further.
