– Install clamp so that end of bolt -arrow- does not extend be‐
yond lower edge of clamp.

Removing and installing catalytic con‐
verters with front exhaust pipe
Removing:
– Remove air filter ⇒ page 467 .
Engine codes CBFA, CCTA, CCTB, CDAA, CDAB:
– Disconnect connector for Lambda probe - G39- -arrow- and
lay cable to side.
All:
– Remove nuts (accessible from above) -arrows- securing front
exhaust pipe to turbocharger.
– Unscrew nuts (accessible from below) securing front exhaust
pipe to turbocharger.
– Unscrew nuts -arrows- and pull underbody cover down slight‐
ly.
